Dr. Foley was born and raised in the Beckley area. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master’s Degree in Orthodontics from West Virginia University, where he graduated with honors.

He began practicing orthodontics in 1995 with Dr. Thomas Jarrett and bought the practice in 2005. He shares his knowledge and experience in orthodontics as a Clinical Professor at West Virginia University’s Orthodontic Residency Program and is an examiner for the graduating resident board cases.

Dr. Foley is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and keeps up-to-date on the most innovative techniques in orthodontics by attending orthodontic courses all over the world. He is a Preferred Provider for Invisalign®, certified by the Academy of Laser Dentistry to provide soft tissue laser surgery and a graduate of the Pankey Institute, where he learned advanced techniques in occlusion and TMJ therapy.

He has been the president of the West Virginia Orthodontic Association and the West Virginia Orthodontic Alumni Association. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, West Virginia Dental Association and the New River Dental Society.

Dr. Foley founded a charity, Smile for a Lifetime, which provides orthodontic treatment to patients that could not otherwise afford treatment. He feels that having a great smile helps you succeed in both your personal and professional life.

Dr. Foley is married to Cyndi and has a son named Luke and two step-sons, Zac and Noah. He enjoys fitness, kite boarding, golfing, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, farming, horses, traveling and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
